The 2025 Philippine Social Enterprise Roadmap Conference (SERC)

This conference which is taking place from November 5–7 at the M.I.C.E. Center, Quezon City, Philippines will put spotlight on Technology Innovations in Social Enterprise and the Social and Solidarity Economy for the Sustainable Development Goals.

We bring together movers of impact from ASEAN, APAC and beyond to shape a future where no one is left behind.


Partnership between ASSEC, ASEC, APPGM-SDG & MySDG

The Philippine organizers of Social Enterprise Roadmap Conference (SERC), led by the Bayan Family of Foundations (BFF) under the stewardship of Prof. Carlo Sagun, President and CEO of BFF, recognize the pivotal role of Asian level SSE and SDG organisations and networks.

As signatory of the ASEAN SDG-SSE Roadmap, BFF recognizes the role of MySDG Academy in supporting ASSEC/ASEC to ensure the effective follow-up of the MoU.


Thematic/Cross-Cutting Track

The matrix below shows the six (6) Thematic/Cross-Cutting Tracks of SERC. Each Track will be populated with program activities for the 3-day duration of the conference.

Digitalization, tech tools, and innovations that scale SE impact; Tech tools (e.g.platforms, apps, Al, loT) applied to real SE/SSE operations.

TRANSFORM/

FUND

Blended finance and impact investment models tested. New/sustainable capital pipelines or financing instruments structured and matched to SE/SSE needs.

CONNECT

Ecosystem-building. Operational partnerships formed across SE, SSEs, and enablers. Working groups or collaborations launched to address shared SDG challenges.

SHOWCASE

Products, services, or platforms exhibited with validated impact metrics.

IMAGINE

Youth innovation, futures thinking, and policy visioning. Proposals or prototypes addressing future SE/SSE scenarios.

ASEAN SDG SSE Roadmap

A key feature of the 2025 Nov conference will be the tabling a draft Roadmap prepared by a team of writers -Dr Khairil (as lead writer), Dr Sue, Dr Ken, Ms Zoel and Dr Denison. With a team of regional advisors – Dr Eri, Dr Ben, Dr Victor, Prof Rashila & Datuk Denison

The drafting took into account the view of the participants at the SDG SSE Seminar held on May 26-27, 2025 with online conversations is now ready for wider review before finalisation before the end of the year

This is a Third sector- CSO, NGO, voluntary sector, Cooperatives and social enterprise in ASEAN plan of action. As we advocate for state actors to take the lead, it is imperative for SSE actors to display clearly with visibility and documentary evidence of the SSE movement and its impact in the lives at the grassroots all over ASEAN
