Event One: ASEAN SDG SSE LOCAL ACTORS NATIONAL WORKSHOP (Oct 29, 2029 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)
MySDG Academy is hosting a national workshop in conjunction with the series of second ASEAN meetings in Kuala Lumpur. This Oct workshop is a follow up to the earlier May 2025 event for national actors to review the ASEAN Roadmap in the context of the 13th Malaysia Plan’s emphasis on social economy and the role of the Third sector. For the first time the Malaysian government has recognised the major role of cooperatives, social enterprises and NGOs undertaking income generating and micro agricultural projects in improving the lives of the poor and low income families.
The one-day event will attract about 100 participants from the social economy sector. During the morning session the focus will be through break up groups on policy matters pertaining to social economic, third sector and the 13th Malaysia Plan. However, during the afternoon roving workshop many local actors will share their work. They will show case their initiatives.
This is a national level workshop hosted by the MySDG Academy with the support of the newly formed SDG Cooperative and the SDG Solution providers Society.

Event Two: SOCIAL ENTERPRISE ROADMAP CONFERENCE (Nov 5-7, 2025 in Manila, Philippines)
The Bayan Family of Foundations (BFF) is hosting the Social Enterprise Roadmap Conference (SERC) in Manila in November 2025. The organisers are open to provide the platform for the promotion and discussion of the ASEAN SDG SSE Roadmap.
The Manila host is open for an active participation from Malaysia through the APPGM SDG related organisations such as MySDG Academy as well as inviting the Asian Solidarity Economy Council partners including the Society for Asian Sociality Economy to actively participate.
This Manila event is a national event but it will provide opportunity for the solidarity economy partners to popularise the ASEAN SDG SSE Roadmap among the Philippines partners and enriched by their input and innovations.
This Manila event will also set the stage for the social solidarity economy network to join the Philippines partners in hosting the 2026 events when Philippines become the ASEAN chair. This event is critical for setting the 2026 agenda.
